The entire event is free and fun for the whole family to enjoy. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets to the park to watch the fireworks display beginning at 9:30 p.m.
The A.M. Risher Pool will also be opening Aug. 7 from 7:30-10:30 p.m. so you can swim and watch the fireworks for only $2 per person. Bring your families and friends to enjoy the pool, National Nite Out and fireworks.
John Gregg, candidate for governor, will address the Chamber at its Aug. 21 noon luncheon at the Phil Harris Golf Course. All Chamber members, non-members, and the public are invited to attend for only $10 per person, which includes lunch. RSVP is requested by Aug. 17.

* Glenburn invites you to a Hawaiian Day celebration at 2 p.m. on Aug 9 for its yearly ice cream social in the family room. And on Aug. 20 from 10:30 a.m.-- noon there will be free tobacco education and blood pressure screening at the Community Center.
* WorkOne is offering free classes on Aug. 8 on Budgeting & Financial Literacy from 9-10:30 a.m. and Interviewing Skills from 2-4 p.m; Aug. 15 the classes will be Work Readiness from 9-10:30 a.m. and Job Search Techniques from 2-4 p.m.

* Node1 Technology would like to introduce Green Geek Recycling which provides an economical way of disposing of electronics, computers and other items. Free pickup is offered and all items will be recycled properly, protecting our environment from harmful pollution.
Green Geek Recycling will be holding its first Electronic Recycling Drive on Aug. 18 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Humphreys Park in Linton. Come to the east side of the park to drop off your unwanted electronic equipment for free.
* Greene County Rotary Ride will be Sept. 1 during the Linton Music Festival. Go to www.rotaryride.webs.com to register online .
