Romney in Iowa as Obama greets Las Vegas teachers

LAS VEGAS (AP) ? President Barack Obama is meeting with teachers at a Las Vegas high school as he promotes his administration's efforts to make higher education more affordable, an issue that's also a platform for criticizing Republican opponent Mitt Romney.

Obama is participating in a roundtable discussion at Canyon Springs High School in Las Vegas before speaking at a campaign event at the school. Later Wednesday, the president is attending campaign events in New York City.

Romney is campaigning in Bettendorf, Iowa, while his running mate, congressman Paul Ryan, attends events in Roanoke, Va., and Raleigh, N.C.

Vice President Joe Biden is spending Wednesday attending campaign events in Detroit.
