CAIN VELASQUEZ and Junior Dos Santos are on course for a third tussle after both heavyweights turned on the style at UFC 160 in Las Vegas.

UFC president Dana White described the next meeting as a ?no-brainer? ? possibly in an open-air arena in Mexico.

Brazilian Dos Santos won their first bout in November 2011 and ?American Velasquez took the second in December.

The series looks certain to continue after both won in Vegas at the weekend.

Heavyweight champion Velasquez, 30, made a successful first defence of the title by flooring Antonio Silva after just 81 seconds. Brazilian Silva claimed ? to no avail ? that referee Mario Yamasaki had called a halt too quickly and that Velasquez had thrown punches to the back of his head.

Velasquez said: ?A fight with Dos Santos certainly makes sense.?

Dos Santos figured in the fight of the night against ?Super Samoan? Mark Hunt.

The Brazilian, 28, gained victory with a KO in the final minute of the third round as he floored Hunt, 34, with a spinning left wheel kick followed by a right hand. Dos Santos said of another looming battle with Velasquez: ?I want the title shot so bad. I really believe I can be the champion again.?

Forrest Griffin ? the original ?Ultimate Fighter? ? has retired at 33.

Griffin won the first season of ?The Ultimate Fighter? in April 2005, and became light-heavyweight champion in July 2008, losing the belt five months later.

Griffin felt it was the right time to quit after suffering injuries prior to his last few fights.
