These leaked press images, purportedly direct from Sony, show off two of the company's hopes for luring in advanced amateurs?with entry-level interchangeable lens cameras.
Snagged by Digicam Info, the images show off two purported new cameras. On the left is the Alpha A58, packing ergonomic tweaks, a new 18-55mm, f/3.5-5.6 II kit lens and?if rumors are to be believed?a 20-megapixel sensor, 8 frame per second shooting speed, new focusing system and $600 price tag.
On the right is a new mirrorless camera called the NEX-3N. More compact than previous NEX cameras, it's rumored to feature a 16-50mm power zoom lens, 16.1-megapixel APS-C sensor, and a price tag of $500-600. All those facts and figures are, of course, still to be taken with a gain or two of salt. As yet there's no suggestions as to when they might appear in the wild. [Digicam Info]
