Leaked Images Show Off Sony's New Advanced Amateur Camera Arsenal

Leaked Images Show Off Sony's New Advanced Amateur Camera ArsenalThese leaked press images, purportedly direct from Sony, show off two of the company's hopes for luring in advanced amateurs?with entry-level interchangeable lens cameras.

Snagged by Digicam Info, the images show off two purported new cameras. On the left is the Alpha A58, packing ergonomic tweaks, a new 18-55mm, f/3.5-5.6 II kit lens and?if rumors are to be believed?a 20-megapixel sensor, 8 frame per second shooting speed, new focusing system and $600 price tag.

On the right is a new mirrorless camera called the NEX-3N. More compact than previous NEX cameras, it's rumored to feature a 16-50mm power zoom lens, 16.1-megapixel APS-C sensor, and a price tag of $500-600. All those facts and figures are, of course, still to be taken with a gain or two of salt. As yet there's no suggestions as to when they might appear in the wild. [Digicam Info]
