CLINTON ? Small business owners in the area will have a chance to learn the latest tips on doing business with the government at the East Tennessee Small Business Conference, being held Monday.

Rep. Chuck Fleischmann, R-Ooltewah, will co-host the conference at the Hollingsworth Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, 2135 N. Charles G. Seivers Boulevard in Clinton.

Highlights of the conference include how to do business with TVA and TVA prime contractors, Oak Ridge DOE NNSA prime contractors and regional power utilities. The Tennessee Department of Transportation will hold one-on-one sessions with prime contractors, breakout sessions for business, technical and loan assistance, women-owned businesses, Small Business Administration 8a, HubZone certifications and teaming, joint venture strategies.
The conference is open to service-disabled veterans? companies, HubZone certified firms, 8A businesses, women-owned businesses, technology firms, and small businesses interested in doing business with the government.
The Anderson County Chamber of Commerce, Lake City Chamber of Commerce, Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce, Tennessee Economic Development Business Enterprise Resource Office, Tennessee Small Business Development Center, TVA, University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services and U. S. Small Business Administration are also participating in the conference.
